Fu Tian is Chinese for “Fields of Happiness.” Fu Tian Herbs, L.L.C. is part of the worldwide movement to preserve and sustainably use Chinese herbal medicine. Our mission is to provide the highest quality, sustainably grown, certified organic Chinese herb products to herbalists and other health care practitioners. Founded by Peg Schafer, an organic grower, and Sean Fannin, a practitioner of Chinese herbal medicine, Fu Tian Herbs grew out of the pressing need for high quality, efficacious, certified organic Chinese herbal medicines. Fu Tian Herbs L.L.C. is the first company in the United States to solely offer certified organic, domestically grown Chinese herbs.

Certified Organic / Sustainable Cultivation
The effectiveness of Chinese herbal medicine has led to an explosion of world wide interest in Chinese herbs. While this is a gift to the world it has unfortunately led to the overharvesting of herbs in the wild. The only way that the practice of Chinese herbal medicine will be able to continue into the future is through the development of sustainable practices and cultivation of the herbs throughout the world.
Chinese Medicinal Herb Farm
Every herb that Fu Tian offers has been grown at the Chinese Medicinal Herb Farm, and is organically certified by MOCA, Marin Organically Certified Agriculture. Located in Northern California, Chinese Medicinal Herb Farm shares the same latitude and many of the same environmental conditions as traditional herb growing regions of China. For almost a decade the Chinese Medicinal Herb Farm has been growing and assessing Chinese herbs to fulfill the goal of offering the highest quality herbs with the best medicinal value possible. Harvesting of all herbs is done by hand ensuring a superior product. Aromatic herbs still carry their distinct scents; colors are vibrant and integrity is present in these fresh dried herbs. Years have been spent clinically evaluating the herbs grown in this region to ensure quality and effectiveness.
